Now is a great time for you to learn and practice the Tunisian Simple Stitch while making an amazing piece (that looks a lot more complicated than it really is) that you’ll go to over and over again.

Materials

  • 1 Skein (315 yds) Simply Soft/Rh Soft
  • H/8 Tunisian Hook
  • H/8 Regular Hook
  • Tapestry Needle

Special Stitch: Tunisian Simple Stitch Instructions

Chain required # of stitches

Tunisian Foundation Row

Step 1 – insert hook in the 2nd chain from the hook, yarn over and pull up a loop

Step 2 – Repeat step 1 across chain, do not turn

Step 3 – Work 1 ch by yarning over and pulling through one loop then yarn over and pull through two loops across to the end. One loop will remain.

Tunisian Simple Stitch Row

Forward

Insert hook under the single vertical thread from right to left, yarn over hook, pull up a loop, keep the loop on the hook and repeat to end

Reverse

Insert hook in the 2nd chain from the hook, yarn over and pull up a loop, Repeat across chain, do not turn
