I was so thrilled when Mistie, of American Crochet fame, asked that I create a square for her 2015 Afghan Crochet-Along! How could I say no?!

2015 American Crochet Afghan Crochet-AlongI have to admit, I was a bit nervous because I’d never designed a square before, but jumping in before we think we’re ready is how we grow, so it was full steam ahead!

If you follow my Instagram feed you did see when this project began and you even helped me pick the next color. It took less time than I though it would and turned out pretty cool, if I may say so myself! 🙂 I’m thinking that beyond the amazing afghan that will be put together in this crochet-along I may use this lovely square for a completed project. . . you never know.

Until then, I hope you enjoy the pattern (please let me know if  you encounter any ‘trolls’ in the pattern) and I look forward to seeing your square on the Facebook page.
