How to crochet the extended double crochet stitch

Remember how exciting it was to learn a new stitch when you first started crocheting? I do too! I couldn’t get enough and I wanted to try every pattern that caught my fancy. What I’ve discovered, and what you’ve probably discovered too is that the excitement never wanes! Learning a new stitch, trying a new pattern or whipping up an old pattern never gets old when you crochet!

Well, here’s a stitch I hope you’ll find useful! The “Extended Double Crochet” is a stitch that is between the half double crochet and the double crochet in height. It’s great to give a looser fabric but with good coverage. It’s fun, and once you get the hang of it, relatively easy!

Enjoy the tutorial and let me know how it goes in the comments below!
